Species seen today: Humpback whale, white-beaked dolphin
Birds seen today: Eider duck, razorbill, great black-backed gull, black-legged kittiwake.
10:00 - It's time for whale watching and the day promises a lot! The weather looks great with just a bit of cold wind on our faces but nothing our buffs could protect us from. Our journey had a bit of splash and after a while, we found our first cetacean. We had in our sight a humpback whale that was giving us nice fluke dives. Not too far away we saw another blow and since there were too many boats around we moved there. Amazingly we found another humpback whale and this time it came very close for us to take that nice picture that we so much wanted of a massive fluke with the sea spray that looked like gold dust. We stayed for a while and came back to the harbour with some lovely memories of these gentle giants.

14:00 - The day has finally come, it's the end of the season and it's the last tour. No sad faces today, we got ourselves a voyage to do and explore the bay. After about half an hour we had our first sighting, a humpback whale! The same one from the morning tour that decided to stick around for us to check it out once more. This time, this whale was a bit shy and did a long dive. We decided to check some splashes in the distance, they were from a pod of 7 to 8 white-beaked dolphins that were very excited to see us as they jumped around the boat and came under the boat trying to scare us off. They came and went, so we decided to explore a bit more of the bay but nothing else popped up. Oh well, back to the harbour we went and our last tour of the year was over. It was an amazing RIB season with so many cool sightings and many memories for so many passengers that will remember Whale Safari as their favourite thing they did this summer! Until next year!
