09:00 - It was a windy day as we sailed away for the first tour of the morning, but we were excited to see what was in store for us in Faxafloi Bay. After a quick visit to see our feathered puffin friends, we went out in search for larger marine life. We sailed towards Akranes and spent some time there in search, but no luck. We turned south feeling hopeful of more success, with some fun splashes from the waves into the RIB. The passengers sighted a minke whale briefly, but unfortunately they did not surface again. We looked for some time but unfortunately no luck this tour. Everyone had fun with the wavey weather but since there were no sightings, we gave out complimentary tickets for passengers to try again on our Classic Tour!

12:00 - The wind and waves were still there for our second tour of the day, but we didn't let that stop us as we headed out for the 1200 tour! We first headed to Lundey for some puffin sightings, then headed to Hvalfjordur with a promise of calmer seas and anticipating some sightings of marine mammals. After searching for some time with no luck and some playful splashes of waves, we turned to Akranes to search there. There was a large splash in the distance, which turned out to be the waves crashing into a reef, so no luck there! Time was running out and the weather was turning, so we decided to head back to the harbour. Nonetheless, spirits remained high, and amidst the whims of the weather, laughter filled the air. Although sightings were scarce, we extended complimentary tickets to our passengers, inviting them to join us again on our Classic Tour in hopes of better fortunes.
