09:00 - This morning we sailed out eager to see what Faxafloi would show us. The conditions were quite nice so we made a pit stop at the the puffins islands where we spotted a grey seal amongst the puffins. After that we headed out and after searching for quite some time and found a humpback whale! This  humpback was actually an individual we know named Gustav! It came quite close but when time was up we had to head back.

12:00 - We started off our afternoon on even calmer seas by going to Engey to see some cute puffins. There was quite a lot of them scattered on the ocean next to the island. Then we sped off in search of the humpback from the morning tour. As we got further out we spotted a minke whale. It surfaced quite a few times really close to us. We could see it so well. We then carried on and saw 5 harbour porpoises come to the surface very briefly. Then another couple of minke whales appeared before we spotted a big blow far away. We saw it go for a big fluke dive confirming to us it was a humpback whale. It was travelling away from us quite fast so everytime we got a bit closer it surfaced further away again. But then eventually our captain had timed it perfected and it surfaced really near. It came up a few times before diving again, it was really cool! We then headed back on flat seas and enjoyed the sun.

15:00 - At the start of this tour the sea had got calmer yet again. To start our final tour of the day we travelled to the final puffin island close to us, Akurey. After seeing lots of these cute little birds we headed off and very quickly found a really fun pod of 10 white beaked dolphins. They were bowriding and swimming all around us. They were so close, it was so special to get to see them behaving in this way. As the sea was so calm we could see them through the water really clearly. The dolphins also started to then jump a bit as we were about to leave them. Further out in the bay we then saw 3 minke whales. These surfaced really nicely for us and we could see their pointy rostrums come out the water. Then on our way back the wind had picked up a bit and it even started to snow! We then arrived back to the harbour bringing a great day to an end.
