Species seen today: Humpback whale, white-beaked dolphin

Birds seen today: Eider ducks, Northern gannet, Northern fulmar, white-tailed duck, glaucus gull, great black-backed gull, black-legged kittiwake, common guillemot, razorbill, great cormorant

10:00 - It was by a very cloudy morning and a nice sunrise that we started our ride in the bay on smooth seas. After a tiny bit of time we noticed a blow along with some boats : it was a humpback whale ! In fact while some boats were observing a humpback our captain noticed a second whale that we managed to have a look out by ourselves before anyone got there. This humpback whale was seen twice before it dove and disappeared. Then we went on and spotted a big pod of 10 to 20 white beaked dolphins spread around in various places. After this very cool sighting we managed to see the humpback whale once more before having to head back toward the harbour. A very very lucky trip !!

14:00 - The sea was a bit more windy for this tour. We had to navigate for quite some time before we got to an area where we saw a humpback whale ! This animal appeared a few times, even twice quite close to us and we could see very nice fluke dives close to us. We even saw that animal peduncle throw once, which is always a very impressive behavior to witness. We then saw the animal for 2 extra breathing sequence before we had to make our way back to the harbour. Overall a very nice tour !
