10:00 - Despite a rainy start, the weather conditions were great for this morning´s tour. A few minutes after we sailed out of foggy Reykjavík area, we reached the very calm and much clearer bay. Early on in the tour, we spotted a pod of curious white-beaked dolphins. Thruma I spent their time with four individuals, while Thruma II was in the company of two dolphins. We enjoyed as the dolphins swam right towards us, sometimes seemingly almost making eye contact with our passengers. After this wonderful sighting, we scanned through different parts of the bay before making our way back to sunny (!) Reykjavík.

14:00 - It was by a surprisingly bright sun that we started our tour in the bay, I am saying surprising because it was predicted heavy rain all afternoon and it turned out this was not a reality during this tour ! We started our sail and found a minke whale alongside other boats. As there were to our taste too many boats in the area for a single minke whale, we decided to leave the animal after one look at its body and continue our trip out in the bay. Not too long afterwards we found other boats and another minke whale around. This animal was a bit more friendly and we could see it a few times including once very close ! After some time we realized there was actually not just one but 2 minke whales surfacing in different places. It was definetely a very nice sighting in which everyone could have one good look to a bit more of these minke whales. After quite some time in the area we started our way back to the harbour, still under the sun.
