Puffins are (hump)back
What a start for the weekend we just had. We just came back from the last tour and we are still amazed by the day we had. The morning started really nice, awesome visibility, awesome flat sea. And luckily, we were not the only ones enjoying the day. We had a really close encounter with one of our little minkie whales. The animal was cruising slowly along with us, probably resting under the perfect spring conditions the day was offering us. But the day was just starting, and the afternoon gave us two great surprises. The first was the first spotted puffins that our boats have seen this season. Our little feathered friends are starting to come and raft at our bay. But when everybody was taking pictures to the puffins, a humpback whale that was swimming around the area wanted to become the queen of the show, and indeed she became. Five fluke ups, really close encounters, really chilled animal. We switched the engines off to enjoy the show nature was giving us.
Spring is coming close, and summer is around the corner. Both animals and us are feeling it, and we cannot be happier! Hope we keep up this pace!
