Unfortunately, the wind was too strong in Faxafloi bay today, with the wind direction resulting in a large fetch making large waves. We hope our valued guests can understand that even though the sun is shining, it would be unsafe to go out to sea in a small boat. We are afraid it would be impossible to see anything with waves higher than the boat, hitting and drenching us every few seconds.
Inside the harbour it is more sheltered, so our friends Mr Puffin are still running Puffin rib tours out to the closest islands.
The wind and waves look to be calming down throughout this week so hopefully we will return with more whale sightings soon!
