Basking sharks and minke whales
Really special morning out in the bay! August is here and is coming in with surprises. Basking sharks are far from being a common sighting: they are an oceanic species that is quite shy and dodgy to spot, unless the conditions are perfect. And today we met these conditions: flat oceans with no wind, and very good visibility. Minkes whales and white beaked dolphins were joining the shark in the bay, along tons of seabirds feeding everywhere. Sunny days are amazing.
