Minkie whales can be quite elusive animals. When they are feeding in our waters (their feeding grounds), they are most of the time focusing in that, eating. Nevertheless, from time to time this little whales surprise us with curious behaviours. One of these is spy-hoping, where the animal will take the head out to see what is going on out of the water. And today that is what we saw. We found a couple of minkies close to a flock of birds where delighted us with some close-ups of their mouths, faces and even pectoral fins. It was amazing.
