Yesterday the sea smoothed out as the day progressed, with long swells providing a gentle rock. Throughout the day, white-beaked dolphins were sighted within the bay displaying a range of behaviours from restful surfacing to energetic porpoising through the waves. A humpback whale was also seen on each of our tours, close to an area that was nicknamed 'humpback hill' earlier in the summer due to their abundance at an undersea lava field. The humpbacks have not been seen in this area for some time and it was a welcome visitor on the tour.
