Wildlife is unpredictable and that's the beauty of it. For the same reason, we never know what we'll see on our tours. So, on today's sunny Tuesday we had different scenarios: we saw a Minke whale which was surfacing just once in a row, but did very short dives, so we had plenty of opportunities to see it. We were also watching a pod of White-beaked dolphins, who were a bit sleepy and elusive, in the beginning, but after they were surfing in the waves behind our boat and even surfaced few times close to us. On one tour we didn't have much luck and saw just few fast Harbour porpoises. In the afternoon we've heard it's been difficult to find cetaceans in the bay so, as the sea conditions allowed us, we went to a long ride to Keflavik area. There we saw two adult Humpback whales very relaxed, swimming together, very close and synchronized. It was an amazing experience to watch these two gentle giants just few meters from our boat! On the tour after, we couldn't find them any more, but we saw another Humpback few times and then decided to check the other one we saw a bit further away, in the same, Keflavik area. That Humpback was much more fun to watch. We even saw it pooped! :D Soon after, it started to clean itself: tail slapping, flipper slapping (like waving to us) and it even fully breached! Absolutely stunning! :)

On all our tours we were seeing still plenty of Atlantic puffins as well as beautiful Northern gannets, flying and fishing in the bay.
