What did we see today: humpback whales, minke whales, white beaked dolphins, harbour porpoises

Today the sea state was absolutely beautiful for spotting cetaceans, and the bright sun was the cherry on top of the lovely whale watching cake! We saw lots of minke whales in the morning, feeding and swimming at speed. In the afternoon we saw white beaked dolphins jumping out of the water, and were lucky enough to come across a spy hopping humpback whale! This is when the humpback comes vertically upwards and pokes its head out of the water. It was really incredible to watch, and the first time we have seen this behaviour this season. This particular humpback whale was very curious about the boats and kept coming up close to show off its fins. An exceptional day of tours!!!
