What did we see today: white beaked dolphins, minke whales, harbour porpoises, puffins

We had an incredible interaction with white beaked dolphins today! As we approached they were feeding and we spotted several juveniles who were leaping out of the water right near us. In the afternoon they bow rode alongside our boat for more than 15 minutes! Our lovely passengers were amazed at their size and how close they allowed us to get to them. Minke whales were spotted in the afternoon - an adult who was leisurely diving down for food. Some harbour porpoises were also spotted amongst the waves.

Today also marked our very first day of puffin tours this season (Check out our Mr. Puffin page on facebook). Our beautiful Atlantic Puffins were everywhere - at their burrows and also at sea in pairs. We sat and watched them clearing out burrows and arguing amongst themselves for wing room.
